Ready-Set-Organise | 5 top tips for garage organisation

Spring is here and there has never been a better time to become organised than today. It’s a no brainer we all want an organised home and yes I agree our busy lifestyles, families and friends can sometimes take over, but with some simple steps I’ll get you back on track so you can focus on what presents to buy the fambam this coming Christmas.
One of the most daunting areas to keep organised in any home is the garage and for most of us, this is the biggest area that accumulates a lot of unnecessary junk, mess and clutter.
I gave this lovely mum of three a complete garage makeover that will inspire everyone to stay organised. I created a functional, practical system and categorised items into the Ezy stylish and durable containers from Officeworks.

1. OPT FOR ONE COLOUR
When choosing containers for your garage opt for a colour instead of clear so you can hide all the clutter in a more organised fashion. This is also a great way to make a fashion statement in your garage.
2. INVEST IN QUALITY NOT QUANTITY
Invest in good quality containers so they last you a lifetime and consider buying impact-resistant containers that will protect all your household valuables and loose items from any damage. Ask the shopkeeper if it comes with some sort of warranty?
3. CHOOSE AN APPROPRIATE SIZE
Don’t go to big or to small. Think about what you’d like to store in there before you opt for the biggest container and don’t forget what would be less strenuous for you to get off the shelf. Generally, a good size container that fits on most shelves is a 52L.
4. PURCHASE IN EVEN NUMBERS
Purchase containers in even numbers so things look consistent. Buying in bulk can sometimes make things more cost efficient so do your research beforehand so you can pick up a great discount.
